Chelsea Andeozzi

Dr. Chelsea Andreozzi joined the USDA California Climate Hub in February 2022 as a postdoctoral scholar. In this role, she will be supporting the California Wildfire and Forest Resilience Task Force’s Science Advisory Panel.

Her work is situated at the interface of ecology, human dimensions of natural resources, and policy to help inform the development of strategies for California forest management. Prior to joining the California Climate Hub, Chelsea received her doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley in the environmental science, policy, and management PhD program. Her dissertation research focused on bat species activity in California coast redwood forests in relation to climate and forest management. She received her B.A. in environmental studies from Yale University. In-between college and graduate school, Chelsea worked for a sustainable food nonprofit in Nantucket, Massachusetts and an arts education nonprofit in Sitka, Alaska. She brings to this new position her training as an interdisciplinary environmental scientist and her interest in working with diverse stakeholders toward goals that meet the needs of both human and ecological communities.
