Sarah Pope is a founding member of CSP, LLC., a consulting firm with over 45 years of combined experience in the conservation and natural resources field. CSP provides program development, public relations, policy development and analysis, as well as education and outreach services. Currently, CSP's clients are regional and national in scope and include, but are not limited to, the United States Department of Agriculture Southern Plains Climate Hub and the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service. Prior to starting her business, Sarah spent 7 years as the Programs Director for the Oklahoma Association of Conservation Districts (OACD) where her grant writing experience enabled the organization to grow from a staff of one to four full-time employees and two part-time employees and raised the annual revenue from approximately $9 4,000 to just over $36 0,000. In addition to acquiring funding, Sarah was responsible for developing and managing multiple programs including two types of ecosystem crediting programs, education initiatives, and organizational leadership development programs.
Prior to her work in conservation, Sarah earned a Bachelor's in Social Work at the University of Oklahoma and began her career in the political sector, serving as a legislative assistant, state senate campaign operations manager, field director for a U.S. Senate campaign and as a part-time advance team member for a presidential candidate before choosing to explore life off the campaign trail. Sarah returned home to the great state of Oklahoma and met her future husband, Clay, falling in love with him and life on the farm. Though work is a great passion and source of joy, more than anything, she loves spending time with her husband, their 4 children, 2 dogs, and her family in Oklahoma City, OK and extended family on the farm in Loyal, OK.
