Eva Holupchinski is Coordinator of the USDA Caribbean Climate Hub. Eva joined the team in January 2017 and is currently analyzing recent drought events in Puerto Rico and the exposure of agricultural lands to drought and storm occurrence on the island. Eva is also developing outreach material to illustrate the impacts of drought in agriculture in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Eva’s personal and professional interests are focused on freshwater resource availability in the face of global climate change, population growth and urbanization.
Eva is an Environmental Science graduate student at the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor’s of Science from the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, Puerto Rico.
