Description

The Conservation of Private Grazing Land Program (CPGL) is a voluntary program that helps owners and managers of private grazing land address natural resource concerns while enhancing the economic and social stability of grazing land enterprises and the rural communities that depend on them.

Eligibility

All owners and managers of private grazing land are eligible to receive technical assistance from NRCS.

Climate Change Component

The Conservation of Private Grazing Land Program helps address natural resource concerns on private grazing lands while enhancing the economic and social stability of grazing land enterprises and the rural communities that depend on them. With a changing climate natural resources may be vulnerable to extreme weather events, thus affecting the rural communities that depend on these resources. Enhancing resilience of grazing lands to extreme events can reduce risks to these resources and rural communities.
