Loren Unruh

Loren Unruh started as a Natural Resources Specialist with the West National Technical Support Center in January of 2021. Loren comes from the Oregon NRCS State Office where he served as the Assistant State Conservationist for Programs from 2011. Prior to that Loren was a District Conservationist in the Pendleton Field Office from 2002 to 2011 and the Heppner Field Office from 1990 to 2002, both in Oregon. Loren Started his NRCS career with Washington NRCS as a Student Trainee and then as Soil Conservationist and District Conservationist. Along the way Loren has served as a range specialist on a soil survey, received his journey planner certification, was a basin agronomy lead, a certified crop advisor, a basin computer lead, and lead RCPP for Oregon among other duties and details. Loren received his Bachelor of Science degree in Range Management from Washington State University.
