Bridgette is an ORISE Research Fellow with the USDA’s Midwest Climate Hub. Bridgette received her B.S. (2021) and M.S. (2023) in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with a focus on crop and soil management. Bridgette’s master’s research sought to improve the usability of soil temperature information to support agricultural decision making by developing an agriculturally focused, data-based Illinois soil temperature climatology. As a graduate student, Bridgette also worked closely with the Illinois State Climatologist Office, participating in and presenting at agriculture meetings to provide stakeholders with weather and climate information. As a native of Illinois’ farmland, Bridgette has a deep-rooted passion for using her expertise of atmospheric sciences in the agriculture industry and looks forward to doing so with the Hub!
