Southwest and Southern Plains Air Quality and Production Agriculture Science and Applications Workshop

Since 2017, a group of Agricultural Research Service scientists, Natural Resources Conservation Service air quality experts and others have been working to understand agriculture, air quality and climate change in the Southwestern and Southern Plains Climate Hub Regions. The project led to the development and wide distribution of the dust mitigation handbook, a list of research priories related to dust and air quality, a national synthesis of air quality, agriculture and climate change and a workshop and roadmap of research priorities for the coming decade (2020 to 2030). Virtual workshop objectives, presentations and briefs are shared here, as well as a roadmap to guide the next decade of regional air quality, agriculture and climate research and management activities.
