Description

The Market Access Program (MAP) helps U.S. exporters, including tribal communities, share the costs of marketing and promotional activities overseas to build commercial export markets for U.S. agricultural products and commodities. Partner groups include commodity trade associations, State Departments of Agriculture, and four State Regional Trade Groups (SRTGs); as well as, the Intertribal Agricultural Council (IAC). While all offer services to small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) and adhere to USDA’s EEO requirements, the SRTGs and IAC in particular reach out to and serve minority groups.

Eligibility

U.S. agricultural trade associations, cooperatives, state regional trade groups and small businesses.

Climate Change Component

As climate changes, commodities that are produced may change as well, which may result in new commodities or new uses of established commodities. The program supports new markets or new uses of a commodity in export markets.
