Telecommunications Infrastructure Loans and Loan Guarantees

This program provides financing for the construction, maintenance, improvement and expansion of telephone service and broadband in rural areas. 

Federally-recognized tribes can directly apply. Most often the applicant is a for-profit or not-for profit telecommunications company, including Tribally owned telecommunication companies.

Access to broadband and telecommunication will give tribes access to current information and resources to assist them limiting risks and adapting to effects of climate change.
