Salt Water Intrusion in the Long Island Sound Area and What Farmers and Land Managers Can Do to Minimize Its Impact

A webinar geared to provide information to farmers and landowners on how to cope with saltwater intrusion in the Long Island Sound region of New York, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.

In this workshop we will cover some background information on how the climate is changing and practices that farmers and land managers can adopt to reduce water needs and improve soil health to minimize the build up of harmful salts on the land. It will also be helpful for ag service providers.

The workshop is being sponsored by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) NY, Cornell Cooperative Extension, and the USDA Northeast Climate Hub.
