Do you want to understand climate change—why it is happening and how it affects agriculture in the Northeast?
The USDA Northeast Climate Hub has released a new video series called “Weathering the Change” broken down into easy-to-understand concepts. The videos explain what changes are happening in the Northeast and why, and what farmers can do to be resilient to those changes. Two prime responses are to improve soil health and biological diversity. Within the videos, you will find resources for farmers to implement climate smart agriculture on the farm.
The series was created by Elizabeth Marks, biologist with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service in New York, in conjunction with the USDA Northeast Climate Hub. Elizabeth served a one-year detail as the Northeast Climate Hub liaison to NRCS in 2020.Watch now
